Our Roots

Born from Experience (Est. 1993) Colo By The U isn’t a startup trying to figure things out. We are a division of Daily Data, a staple of the Dallas IT community since 1993.

Founded in the Lakewood area of East Dallas, Daily Data began as the “IT Department for small businesses.” Over the last 30+ years, we realized that small businesses were being pushed out of data centers by skyrocketing prices and massive rack minimums. We built Colo By The U to solve that problem: providing enterprise-grade single-server colocation without the enterprise-grade price tag.
